ChessMath 1A, or 1B


ChessMath” is an online or onsite group activity for grades 1-6 that focuses on comprehension and understanding of mathematics, taught through the medium of chess by our expert Academic Coaches over 6 weeks (12 hours total).

Overview:

We use the chess and math correlation, and logic, to enhance problem-solving, critical thinking, pattern recognition, spatial awareness, and executive functions — holistic to students' cognitive and social development.

ChessMath pathway…

ChessMath 1A:

For novice-level chess, as well as pre-algebra & pre-geometry studies.

Prerequisite: None

ChessMath 1B:

For novice-level chess, as well as algebra and geometry studies.

Prerequisite: ChessMath 1A

ChessMath 1C:

For intermediate-level chess with a ChessMaster Academic Coach.

Prerequisite: ChessMath 1A, and 1B
