Scratch Coding 1A, or 1B


Scratch Coding” is an online or onsite group activity for grades 4-8 that assists student-athletes with the fundamentals of Scratch, a low-code programming language designed around draggable building blocks, taught by our experienced Academic Coach over 6 weeks (12 hours total).

Overview:

We help student-athletes understand executive functions, by providing a supportive community where they can share and explore a wide variety of projects, collaborate, innovate, and understand computers, and code.

Scratch Coding pathway…

Scratch Coding 1A:

For novice-level block-programing, as well as pre-algebra and pre-geometry studies.

Prerequisite: None

Scratch Coding 1B:

For novice-level block-programming, proficient in basic project creation.

Prerequisite: ChessMath 1A

Scratch Coding 1C:

For intermediate-level block-programming, understanding of core concepts, and game development.

Prerequisite: ChessMath 1A, and 1B
